If I think of any more I'll let you know." And then likely I would have forgotten and that teachable moment gone.

But you- you wrote this! And it is good. It should be framed and sold in Bible bookstores everywhere. :)

Love you, sweet Elise.

~StacyStacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13485518521402606014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553707.post-61642609621375560832008-01-07T20:40:00.000-07:002008-01-07T20:40:00.000-07:00Yes, I HATE washing dishes, as well as every other...Yes, I HATE washing dishes, as well as every other household chore!!! I have been in such a rut lately. My dh wants me to fix healthy meals, like baked fish and brown rice, and lots of raw veggies and the kids just sigh when they come to the table and it's just so tiring.

I am thrilled that my dh wants to eat healthy and it is good for all of us even if we're not trying to lose weight. I just need to repent of my lack of enthusiasm and serve my family as if it is the Lord Jesus Christ I am serving.

Many women would be thankful for a healthy family to cook for or the health to cook for their family. Sometimes I just need perspective.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15453380466638767810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553707.post-24062592771498649782008-01-02T14:44:00.000-07:002008-01-02T14:44:00.000-07:00What a wonderful poem. How very...Elise, I LOVED your poem for your sister! How very special! Plus, I think it's very special for you to have a 12-year old sister!

This is also an idea. Do you knit Elise? Or does your sister? When I have knitted dishcloths and given them to friends, I will ask them to pray for me when they use that particular cloth in their kitchen. If you do knit, you could knit your sister several colorful cloths and ask her to pray for a certain person when she washes with that cloth.. i.e. pray for Micah when she washes with the blue one or pray for your daughter when she washes with the soft yellow one, etc.

I sent a blue/white dishcloth to a blogger in Taiwan and asked her to pray for me whenever she uses it. I am very excited to know the Lord will hear her prayers for me a world away and that a dishcloth I knit is now in a missionary's kitchen in Taiwan!

Maybe something simple like this could also encourage Maddie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553707.post-4939074482382925602008-01-02T07:52:00.000-07:002008-01-02T07:52:00.000-07:00Maddie is fortunate to have a sister like you!Happ...Maddie is fortunate to have a sister like you!

Happy New Year, Elise!

Ness
www.dachshundstrong.blogspot.comNesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02184900184545881232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553707.post-34476160614622027252008-01-02T05:17:00.000-07:002008-01-02T05:17:00.000-07:00You are a special sister.
