Children's Book Monday

The Orange Shoes
by Trinka Hakes Noble
Illustrated by Doris Ettlinger

Just popping in to recommend this truly lovely book for your autumn reading! I absolutely adore the illustrations, and the story is so very good that my boys chose it as their bedtime story nearly every night for the three weeks we had it checked out.

The story has a lovely moral- Delly makes the most of what she has, and is truly thankful she has what she does, to be sure! Trinka Hakes Noble is one of our favorite authors- and illustrators- so be sure to look at your library for this one! (Also well-worth the read- Apple Tree Christmas, written and illustrated by Trinka Hakes Noble- perfect for this winter/Christmas!)

Happy Reading!

Looks good! I have missed the library so much since living here, but this year we have access to an all English library since Rebeccah goes to the American International School! YAY! I'll see if they have any of these:-) Thanks
