He Considers Even We

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:25-26)
I'm continually overwhelmed at how much He cares about the details. My details. Yours.

And look what He orchestrated this week!

Do you recognize her? I was so privileged to hug the shoulders of this flourishing woman, whom I have admired, chatted with, and prayed for from afar. On Tuesday, not only did we discover we were in the same state, but the same city. Same week. Within minutes from each other. (Absolutely God-orchestrated.)

Kevin drove me to the coffee shop, for he knew I would never return if he didn't; I get so very lost. And when we opened the door, my eyes scanned the room and fell upon this beauty; blue eyes and dark hair. And we talked. How strange, we thought, to already know so much about each other, to feel so close, and to be meeting for the first time! No matter, it was so comfortable, and peaceful, and so good for the heart. (Superlatives abound here, I know; I am so thrilled!)

It was a privilege of the highest order to speak in person with Andrea, and to communicate about our families, desires, prayers, struggles - face to face. Little ol' shy me probably sweated and stumbled through the conversation, but I sat in awe at the serenity and simplicity of my friend. I am so thankful for the time - stolen, as it was, for both of us while our babies slept and our olders were cared for by family.

I did not want to say goodbye, but did so, dutifully, yet not before stealing another hug - when will I see her again? Tomorrow, yes, as I visit her little place full of wisdom, motherhood, wifehood, seeking, and friendship.

I can't wait to meet the rest of you! Someday, yes?

How cool!!! He is so good that way, isn't He? It was very neat to scroll down and see a pic of two of my favorite bloggers side by side. :) Two beauties, so like-hearted.

Oh to be in the same state and the same city in the same week with you and to linger over a cup of coffee and share a hug and then one more! Yes, someday! (I bet heavenly coffee is divine!)
You both look so beautiful! What a tremendous blessing, and how appropriate that Gratitude is playing in the background. God is so good!

Oh my goodness. You couldn't have just swung by Oregon, the both of you? You were so CLOSE! :)

So happy for you both! Meeting blogging friends is a REAL treat. I only wish I could arrange a trip to your home state before you fly off for Utah.

To think I could have been in this picture had we been able to stay just one more day. But how special for the two of you! God is working through the technology of the internet! He is amazing and good and all things indescribable! We'll get our day Elise, I just know it!
Love, Sarah

ps- and I loved hearing about your boys and what good buddies they are. I'm hoping and praying my two will someday be the same. Though it seems far off at the moment. ~sigh~
