Daily Joy

My eyes are opened of late to the simple pleasures I am afforded. Today was delight in the form of dark chocolate on my bedside table, fetched by a beloved husband - an unopened bar, at that! Between three and four every day, one square of that bittersweet goodness is all I need for an energy boost until dinner is on the table.

Sixty percent is mine - what's your dark chocolate number?

I hate to be difficult to start things out, but I don't like dark chocolate. I'll take the white chocolate, with whatever food coloring you want to add, heads and shoulders over the dark. yum yum. But you do have a sweet hubby.

As I said, sorry to be difficult.:)

What a sweet man, leaving choclate by your bedside table. :)

I prefer milk choclate, myself. But when I make chocolate mousse, I do use those bars-- 70 or 80%. MMMMMM!

Oh, Mark and I love dark chocolate... the darker, the better. I, too, love a square in the afternoon to give me the boost I need.

Sixty percent for me, too!! Although, we have found 70% a few times too.

Your hubby is so sweet!

All chocolate is amazing and great therapy, if you ask me. I do believe chocolate will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb and it will taste better than anything we've had here and be 100% Fat Free. :)

Milk chocolate for me. I'll have to try 60% though and see if that works for the bitterness factor. Hmmm! How sweet of your hubby to leave an unopened bar out just for you! :0) Dark chocolate is good for you . . . I'll have to try and get into eating it a bit more. ;0)

Oh, I'm more of a milk chocolate fan too. And I'm afraid that if there was a bar of either milk or dark chocolate at my bedside, it wouldn't last very long - I'm so impressed: one square at a time! :)

I'm a dark chocolate girl. Dark chocolate and homemade marshmallows make the best smores.

70%. Used to be 85%, but I defer to Husband on this one and come out with a sweeter deal. Pun intended.

I am a Ghiradelli girl, as well. But, I get the big bag of Ghiradelli dark chocolate chips at Sam's Wholesale. I eat 1-2 per hour every day!! Plus, I can use them to make cookies on the weekends. The recipe on the back of the bag is THE BEST! Chocolate can make everything better after a long hard day!

I'm sorry sweet friends, but I cannot abide milk chocolate at all. I'm with Elise...dark chocolate, the darker the better. I love it 72% or above. I can find a bar in my health food section that has 80%!! Love that.

Praying for you now, Elise.

What a sweet husband to bring you a favorite chocolate bar. I'm a fan of milk chocolate, love rolos and kit kats. Enjoy!

I'm stepping in a bit late on this one, and it's obviously a subject everyone has something to say about! I find 60% is about perfect; my husband likes 72%. And I too, go for a square nearly every afternoon!
I'm going to keep my eyes open for that Tasha Tudor book you wrote about. It looks lovely!
Still praying for you,
Rebeca
