Question:

Does anyone else want to use their body to physically bar access to the bathroom right after they've cleaned it so that their little boys can't use it for at least an hour and for that hour they can be confident that there are no dribbles on the rim?

Just wondering.

Ahhhhhhh. Just girls.

My yard might be a little overgrown,
but my commodes are mostly really clean. :)

My little boy is only 1, but I have been known to serve dinner on paper plates after spending a good portion of the afternoon scouring the kitchen and not wanting to mess it up again!

Dearest Daughter:

If you bar the door, dear one, you will be cleaning up puddles elsewhere!

Mama

A clean bathroom? Hmmmm? Yup, I'd keep them out too! grin grin. At this point, I think I'd be happy if mine would just wash their hands BEFORE they wipe them everywhere and I send them back to the bathroom to wash them.

Hi Elise!

I've visited your blog a number of times before, and now feel funny that of all the wonderful things you write, this is the post I choose to first comment on. :)

But I couldn't help myself, because the answer is a resounding YES!!!!!!!

YES, YES, YES!!!!!!

Ohh *wipes tears of laughter away* how you made me laugh this morning!

I was going to say yesterday how lucky you were to 'get out of' Spring cleaning, and then it occurred to me that you're having to do it twice! :)

Just use the yellow police tape. That'll work. *grin*

I hadn't thought of that. I mostly force him to use the downstairs one so I can enjoy the pleasant "non-smell" of my freshly cleaned commode! Nothing more frustrating than having a freshly wiped down throne only to re-enter the bathroom 5 minutes later to that smell. Ugh.

Uh - that would be a huge AFFIRMATIVE! (I have been known to ban Mr. S from a clean bathroom!)

Amen, Sistah!!!! I'm not much of a clean-freak, but I do always keep a container of Lysol wipes next to the toilet to wipe up the dribbles!

lol. yes!

I will spare details because I see you deleted a few comments from above!! ;) but, yes!

Well - since I have girls I don't have the sprinkled seat to deal with. However, I do understand the desire to bar them from the bathroom...sometimes I think letting their teeth rot in their heads would be okay if I could forgo toothpaste all over the sink, the towels, the light switch the walls. :)

Ah, yes... though my problem isn't so much with dribbles on the seat as with small puddles behind the base left by the son who routinely forgets to aim. ;)

On Friday we had just finished cleaning our rental house and we were ready for the walk-thru when one of the boys had to go potty and I said whatever you do don't get any potty on the toilet and he said, "I thought we were supposed to potty in the toilet." LOL He didn't understand the difference between in and on!

Elise! Elise! Elise! I am so thankful for you :-). I just read this entry to Nathan and exclaimed, "this is why I blog!"

We just recently had company and when they asked to use the bathroom I had to bashfully unlock the door, explaining that I lock the door after cleaning it when I know company is coming~ I know, it's dreadful!

But you understand. Sigh. And it's wonderful:-).

I am so thankful for the age of wipes. One for the sink, one for the potty, one for the windows...

You get the idea:-)

Um, yes! I mean, don't they ever learn how to aim properly? It just seems as though it would be so easy to do yet.... well you know how it is! ;o)

YES, YES, YES.

Thankfully, we live in a sunny clime, and they love to go outside!

LOL - YES! I HATE letting my husband into the shower after I've scrubbed and scrubbed it! And to top it off, he wears glasses, so when he leaves them off to get in, he doesn't even see my work or the mess he's made of it!!!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my post - I found Piper in it again today, with far less drama, since I knew at least I had bleached it all yesterday...
