Here our Gratitude Tree took a tumble over the deck while I stood in my Sunday best, mouth agape. Minutes later I trooped through the fifteen+ inches of snow that piled in over my boot tops and rescued Gratitude from the earth, stringing it again on the branches.
Oh, how we give thanks. Our gratitude tree is heavy laden in the very best way, but soon will be stripped bare as the wintry landscape.
And it will sit bare on our tabletop, a root preparing to become a Jesse Tree, nestled near our Advent Wreath.
Come, Lord Jesus. Come.
