For You

A couple of weeks ago, when I stopped in here to whisper our favorite, restful music for schoolwork, Quiet Time, meals, folding laundry... I had no idea that someone from Breakaway Music was reading!

Trina Stocker, co-founder of Breakaway Music and the wife of Jay Stocker, who writes the beautiful music on this CD, contacted me and offered to give away three of their scripture lullaby CD's, Hidden in My Heart, to three of my readers! [And while I have no intentions of turning this quiet, ad-free place into a giveaway blog,] I am thrilled at the opportunity to share with you the beautiful music that has blessed this home so very much.

I love the goal of Breakaway Music- for children to have a relationship with Jesus! Their passion is evident, as each song is filled with scripture and set to beautiful, seamless, moving music; the repetition serves to hide the Word in our hearts- a solid foundation upon which a relationship with Jesus can be built!

Hidden in My Heart is Breakaway Music's first project, and they have set the bar high! The peaceful piano intro on every song leads you and your little ones straight into a time of worship, whether you are falling asleep, reading during Quiet Time, or elbow deep in dishwater.

So, please, head on over to Hidden In My Heart's website and listen for a bit... you will be highly tempted to download the music immediately, but if you like, first choose which song speaks to you the most (you can hear a sample of each one here), and then come back and let me know in the comments which song is your favorite! (Mine is "I Can Do All Things"!) One entry per person, please, and your name will be entered in the giveaway, which ends on Wednesday, May 26th, at midnight.

*Comments closed.*

Thank you, Jay, Trina, and Breakaway Music!

{and thank you so much, kind Jenny, for sharing this music with our family!}

Oh, how wonderful! Ever since you posted your original post, I've been on their site several times, trying to figure out how many CDs I wanted to buy, for myself and friends!

My favorite is Love the Lord... or maybe Bless the Lord (its really hard to pick just one!) All are beautiful

I actually bought their CD after reading your blog posting about them. As soon as my husband came home that night, I told him he had to listen to these. We've been enjoying it so much!!! Our 5 month old falls asleep to it at night and when I remember to grab it before we head out the door, we listen to it in the car. The kids love it!! It is so hard picking a favorite but I enjoying singing Bless the Lord, I Can Do All Things, and Love the Lord your God.....
I know who I'd like to give a copy to. Thanks for the giveaway.

That is so sweet! I downloaded the one free one and have really been enjoying it (the seek first one). I know my 3 boys would enjoy it... If I don't win then I'll be buying in the near future!

Oh what a treat! After you posted the link, I went right over and listened and then fought the urge to buy. (It's not in the budget for the month). I put it in my mental "on hold" basket.

Goodie! This is a GREAT giveaway. I like "Love the Lord."

How exciting! I listened the other day after you wrote about and just LOVE this music. My favorite is Be Still & Know....mostly because "be still" seems to be the message for my life right now :)

Fun!

I liked I Will Never Leave You.

I love Scripture songs for kids. My mom used to have some CDs for my little brothers and although I was eleven years older and surely too "big" to be listening to such things, I can still remember those verses to song~ word for word!

Oh thank you for the giveaway! I listened to these samples a couple weeks ago and just loved them. In fact, my friend Ginger gifted a copy to my niece and just yesterday I had the pleasure of delivering it to her. My niece is in the PICU after being hit by a car two weeks ago, and this CD is perfect to play in her room while we wait for her to wake up. Very thoughtful of Ginger.

Maybe it's just because it's first, but the song that really struck me the most is "Be Still and Know". I too love the whole album though. Thank you again!

What a great treat! Deciding was difficult, but I think I'll go with Be Still And Know. So much enjoy the words you write to us!

i've got the page bookmarked so i can download it when the budget allows. i can't wait to hear fly like an eagle in full - although they all sound wonderful.

I will say "Bless The Lord"....although I liked all I heard.

Oh Elise, I could really use this...and maybe play while rocking my last(?) babies (twins)...holding on to these days.

I bought 5 from the website for me and gifts, but would like to enter the drawing.

Again, thank you for the praiseworthy addition to our home.

This CD is beautiful! What a lovely shower gift this would be. I know I'll be ordering this in the future. My kids will love it. My favorite, based on the samples is "Love the Lord" with "The Peace of God" a close second.

Stacey said...

Wow. What a blessing to have some to share! Isn't that just like the Lord?? ;)

My favorite, perhaps because of exactly where I am right now is "Be Still and Know..."

I have always loved scripture songs. I have fond memories of Kids Praise as a kid, and now my children love Scripture Rock. This would be a beautiful addition to our library.

And the 26th is my birthday, wouldn't it be neat if I won on my birthday!! ;)

The task of picking just one was a little too difficult - Fly Like an Eagle or Be Still. They sound as if they all can speak to my soul in their own way, especially during different times in my day and walk. Again, thank you for sharing this with us.

After reading about this CD, I also went to the website and bought Hidden In My Heart. I admit, I'm quite addicted to the beautiful music, and "Be Still and Know" is going through my thoughts as I type. I purchased a second CD for a friend who's expecting. I'd love another copy to give away to another friend who's also expecting.

Quick story, my 3 month old was with me one morning getting groceries. She was crying as we got ready to leave the store, but I put in this CD, and as we drove home, she quieted and fell asleep.

Thank you for sharing this, Michelle

After your post about the cds, I went to their website and started listening to the songs. My kids came running in to hear the music. We bought a cd and now my youngest boy (4 yrs) asks repeatedly for the "quiet" music to be played. My favorite song is "Bless the Lord."
Thanks for your encouraging and inspiring blog.

I think that my favorite is Bless the Lord, but it is a tough choice. Thanks for the opportunity!

"Fly Like an Eagle" is my favorite right now. They were all good, however, I like that it talked about pressing on and giving it all to God. It seems so often I try and do everything and don't take the time to turn over my anxiety, stress, fears, and emotions to God. But when I do He's always there and I do feel stronger.

Thanks for sharing Elise!

I really like the Peace of God and Be still and know. My kids like to listen to CD's at bedtime...especially since that is when fears and worries tend to creep in. I love the combination of quiet music with scripture. What a blessing!
Thanks for sharing.

I think The Lord Is My Shepherd might be my favorite. Who can actually pick when they are all so beautiful?! This will likely be my new favorite baby gift.

This note excited me. I *immediately* went (back) to the website to listen to the song samples (you'd pointed us there once before, so it was familiar territory) and, listening to the set several times, I noted my favorites were tracks 1, 5 and 6...I promptly curled up in my too-small chair and fell asleep listening to the cycle of snippets...imagining myself falling asleep or creating, um, *anything*, to the full melodies. Does it count as a "favorites entry" if I don't go back and look up the titles? I know I won't be able to turn the laptop off if I do...I'll be peacefully sucked into the mystical whimsical lyricism. Thanks for the chance!

Elise, Thank you for allowing God to use you to bless me each time I visit. (I have been a lurker - not sure with this technology stuff) I have felt a strong urge to respond today and let you know how much I appreciate your heart for your children, husband and God have touched my life. I like "The Peace of God"...
