Beautiful, Elise. I especially love your printers trays full of autumn goodness.

And I have to ask... Did you have your handwriting turned into a font? That blessing looks suspiciously like it's in your writing, but it's so uniform that I know it's a font.

This is lovely, I can feel the pause to give thanks.
Would you be willing to share the books that you have for the children in the basket? I am trying to add a few titles each year to our thanksgiving/christmas books, but want to seek out the special ones that will hold meaning year after year.

I love Thanksgiving, it seems this is the way we should be living every day. Thankful. Grateful. Pausing to give praise to Him.

What warmth and love fill your home Elise. You have made it such a welcoming place. It is amazing the way little touches, prepared with loving hands, enrich our lives. Your gentle, sweet spirit fills your home with a beautiful fragrance.
Thank you for your sweet email. It was a joy to hear from you.

So very beautiful! I bet it smells good, too! It would just have to smell of cloves and cinnamon.

I love this! My husband and I have been married almost 5 years with 2 little ones, and I am trying to establish some meaningful traditions for the seasons and holidays this year. I love the idea of the gratitude tree, I made a little one of my own after seeing mention of one in a magazine a couple weeks ago. I'd never heard of it before! All your decor makes me want to grab a cup of cider, a blanket sit at your table, thank God, and read.

I love it all, Elise?

But that tree? With the sweet fall-colored paper leaves and hand-written things you're thankful for?

We are so doing that.

Love you, friend!

(and I have NO idea why that question mark is there after your name in my previous comment. I'm sure it was supposed to be an exclamation point. But it changed it's mind, apparently.)

Hi, friends!

I'm going to slip the answers to some of your questions right here into the comment box...

Rachel~
We have a lovely mix of harvest/Thanksgiving/nature books in our basket right now:

The Thanksgiving Door, by Debby Atwell. (So, so sweet- an excellent read!)

Sail Away With Me: Old and New Poems by Jane Collins-Philippe

Guess How Much I Love You: All Year Round by Sam McBratney

This is the Feast by Diane Z. Shore

Give Thanks to the Lord by Karma Wilson

A Tree is Nice by Janice May Udry

The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams (Eliana picked this- she has it memorized now, it's so catchy!)

Someday a Tree by Eve Bunting

Squanto's Journey by Joseph Bruchac

Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet and Allan Ahlberg

I try to keep a good variety of "age-levels" in the basket, because during lunch all of the children read books, and my little man has now joined the fray! :)

Melissa~
Indeed, I used a font from Kevin and Amanda (Fonts for Peas)- but it's not mine! (I wish!) I love to use their fonts for projects like this- just a simple touch of class. I printed these blessings along with a couple of clip art leaves on some cream card stock and stuck it in an extra frame we had. The children have enjoyed taking turns reading a blessing before meal time.

Thank you for your questions, kind friends! Have a beautiful weekend!
