Take a Hike

Normally, that phrase (Suggestion? Command?) is taken as rude. One might even say hateful.

But today, it was music to our ears.

The physical therapist said, Take a hike. Ride your bike. Live your life!

And he went walking and leaping and praising God! (See Acts 3:8 for Kevin's biblical kindred. Sort of.)

We don't have any actual photographs of his long, lean form, lying on the couch, resting and icing his foot. It only happened twice a day. Every day. For three months.

But this is how the resident artist captured him:

(She's five. And observant. Notice the accuracy in length of legs, and even the rendition of the plastic band he used to tie the ice pack on?)

We are so thankful. The Lord is always good.
